Wanted-- Bikers interested in riding the northern portion of the Paul
Bunyan Trail on August 27 to honor Terry McGaughey, father of the Paul
Bunyan Trail.
Route: Walker to
Bemidji--then bike around Lake Bemidji and back to Walker.
(route around Lake Bemidji will be provided)
Distance: Approx 80 miles. (60 miles on PBT and approximately 20 mile
around Lake Bemidji)
Starting time: 8:30 AM on Saturday, August 27
Starting Location: Public parking lot in downtown Walker in front of
Chase on the Lake Hotel. Trail from parking lot leads to PBT.
Average riding speed: 16-18 mph.
Support vehicle needed: none
Car pool from: Brainerd and Nisswa
Alternate Route: Walker to Bemidji and back (60 miles)
Note: Other routes starting in Walker or Hackensack are possible.
